Cielo Rojo Restaurant is a family-owned traditional Mexican restaurant in the heart of Takoma Park, MD on the DC border. We are looking for a General Manager to join our team. We serve lunch and dinner during the week and brunch on weekends featuring a traditional Mexican cuisine with a Californian influence and lot’s of vegan options! This family-owned restaurant is small but mighty! We have plans to expand in the near future and need a strong manager leading our team in the transition from a small restaurant to a larger/3,000 sq ft full service restaurant. This management position is very hands on! Someone who is bilingual in Spanish/English would be a huge plus as the majority of our team speaks Spanish. Gracias! 


- Assist directly with hiring and training decisions for FOH team

-Works closely with GM/Owner to ensure operations are running smoothly between FOH and BOH 

-Oversees food quality and consistency

-Weekly inventory/ordering of FOH supplies

-Makes weekly FOH schedule

- Help create a welcoming community environment for guests and staff

- Guide staff in ensuring hospitality/service is top notch

- Observe the entire dining experience, ensuring that every meal and every moment exceeds expectations

- Oversee and ensure that all company systems and policies are maintained

- Make sure all new employees go through the proper training and have all the necessary tools to succeed in their position

-Updates item availability on all platforms for take out/dine in

-Handles customer issues/complaints and turns around their experience to a positive one

Prep Lead:

We're looking for a Prep Lead to join our team! This team member would work closely with our Chef & Kitchen Manager to keep operations flowing & oversee prep staff. We're a fast fine Mexican restaurant located in the heart of Takoma Park, MD. We want someone passionate about Mexican food who likes to work in casual environments. 


  • Lead prep staff to ensure quality and consistency of salsas, moles, meats, etc. 

  • Taste & oversee prep items

  • Work the molino (mill that grinds our corn daily) w/staff to ensure it's working properly

  • Check in food deliveries & hand out tasks to prep crew

  • Work closely w/Kitchen Manager & Chef to ensure smooth operations 

  • Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards


  • Well organized

  • Spanish/English speaker= plus plus

  • Attention to detail

  • Exceptional palette 

  • Proactive problem solver

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand on feet for long periods of time


  • 2-3 years experience working prep or leading a prep team
